Artist
I work primarily in watercolours finding my subject matter in nature. I consider my work to be impressionistic in style, as I am more concerned with the impact than the details. My work has becoming more abstract in the past years as it gives me more opportunity to express my emotions and inner life. However, the work still contains representational elements that I hope engage the viewer.
I have become fascinated by the new scientific studies that so clearly demonstrate the interconnectedness of our world. I have really enjoyed exploring in my art these concepts of connection, interdependence and the energy and vibrancy of the natural world. I feel we are at a turning point in our relationship with the natural world and I hope with my art to engage the viewer in that discussion.
